功能
Insulin is a hormone with extensive effects on both metabolism and several other body systems. It causes most of the body's cells to take up glucose from the blood (including liver, muscle, and fat tissue cells), storing it as glycogen in the liver and muscle, and stops use of fat as an energy source. Insulin is synthesized as a precursor molecule, proinsulin, which is processed prior to its secretion. A- and B-peptides are joined together by a disulfide bond to form insulin, while the central portion of the precursor molecule is cleaved and released as the C-peptide.

Immunofluorescence analysis of frozen mouse pancreas tissue with Mouse anti-Insulin antibody (EM80714) at 1/500 dilution.
The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for about 2 minutes in microwave oven. The tissues were blocked in 10% negative goat serum for 1 hour at room temperature, washed with PBS, and then probed with the primary antibody (EM80714, red) at 1/500 dilution overnight at 4 ℃, washed with PBS. Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L (iFluor™ 594, HA1125) was used as the secondary antibody at 1/1,000 dilution. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue).
Glucagon (ET1702-20, green) was stained at 1/500 dilution overnight at +4℃. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (iFluor™ 488, HA1121) was used as the secondary antibody at 1/1,000 dilution. -
