Alkaline phosphatase, intestinal, also known as ALPI, is a type of alkaline phosphatase that in humans is encoded by the ALPI gene. Intestinal alkaline phosphatase is an endogenous enzyme that maintains gut homeostasis. It detoxifyies bacterial toxins, dephosphorylates phosphorylated nucleotides, regulates lipid absorption in the intestine, and regulates the microbiome in the intestine. In addition to these functions, intestinal alkaline phosphatase can also modulate bicarbonate secretion and can modulate the pH of the duodenum.

Western blot analysis of intestinal alkaline phosphatase on different lysates with Rabbit anti-intestinal alkaline phosphatase antibody (HA723951) at 1/5,000 dilution.
Lane 1: Saos-2 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane)
Lane 2: A549 cell lysate (negative) (20 µg/Lane)
Lane 3: Mouse small intestine tissue lysate (30 µg/Lane)
Predicted band size: 57 kDa
Observed band size: 80 kDa
Exposure time: 25 seconds; ECL: K1801;
4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (HA723951) at 1/5,000 dilution was used in primary antibody dilution (K1803) at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
