中心体是动物细胞中一种重要的细胞器，每个中心体主要含有两个中心粒。它总是位于细胞核附近的细胞质中，接近于细胞的中心，因此叫中心体。在有丝分裂期间，中心体分成两部分分别迁移到细胞的两极，并参与有丝分裂纺锤体的形成和微管的组装，同时还可以调节细胞周期进程。常用的中心体标志物有PCM-1、γ- Tubulin、Pericentrin、Ninein等。
